Book tastes

I read mostly fiction. I would like to get some new horror/gothic books. I'm not really into slasher, B-movie horror as much as more gothic things or more "serious" horror (Stephen King is one of my favorites; I've read pretty much everything he has written). I'm also really big on dystopian and/or post-apocalyptic.

Don't get this!

Slasher/body horror. I'm also not a huge fan of ghost stories.

Other notes

Books I read this year that I really enjoyed:
A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World by Charlie Fletcher
Mania by Lionel Shriver
The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi
Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang
Fail-Safe by Eugene Burdick (I did also read Red Alert, but Fail-Safe was better, IMO)
John Dies at the End by Jason Pargin
