Book tastes

I enjoy science fiction, particularly when complex worldbuilding or intriguing quirks of a world are at the heart of a story. I enjoy good nature writing, particularly about birds/birding, land use policy/culture, and conservation ecology. Other niche topics I enjoy good writing about include mountain sports (alpinism, climbing, skiing), sea kayaking, and anarchism. Some favorite authors who might give a sense of what I enjoy include Ursula K. LeGuin, Wendell Berry, Philip K. Dick, and Aldo Leopold. I would love to discover new authors/books through SantaThing rather than receiving books by authors I already know. I want to broaden my horizons!
