SantaThingSantaThing Entry #235

Book tastes

I would love a paperback novel to take on a trip to Blackpool in the Northwest of England this winter. I like to read books set in the area I'm traveling to!

Don't get this!

Any book that's part of a series and isn't first in the series.

Other notes

My tastes run to literary fiction, but prefer lighter reading for traveling. I don't usually read straight-up romance other than an occasional rom-com, but wouldn't rule out a romance except for the truly formulaic ones. I will read most other genres.

mahsdad: To the LT Elves, I added 2 books, but with the budget, can only get 1, just wanted to give you options. (Nov 29, 2023, 8:28pm)
thebookmagpie: I think some Wilkie Collins might work - they are classics but really readable with a story that keeps you going. These editions of The Woman in White and The Moonstone come in under $9.
