Book tastes

I like feel good stories and mysteries with authors like Rev. Richard Coles, LT Shearer, Richard Osman and SJ Bennett. Not cozies exactly but mysteries with a light touch. A bit of humour and not graphic violence or preachy messages.
I like books with book or library themes.
I’d be happy with a book from an author local to you.
I have been learning French for over two years so a French translation like the Maigret series or something similar to authors Antoine Laurain and Stephane Carlier would be great. French history is also welcome.
I’d also like anything about Ukraine or by Ukrainian authors. Glory to Ukraine!
I enjoy quirky memoirs especially about animals. I love cats so any cat owners memoirs would be appreciated. Other animals would also be enjoyed.
I like natural history so anything by Sy Montgomery would be welcome.
I am a LGBTIQA+ ally so queer themes are fine
I support asylum seekers, refugees and First Nations people so anything along these lines are fine too.
