Book tastes

I'm a big lover of historical fiction and literary fiction. I prefer single POVs and single timelines as opposed to braided narratives. Things with character depth are my favorite. Mystery, suspense, and action are all welcome. Slice-of-life stories are also welcome. I like science fiction like Pierce Brown and RJ Barker, not so much things like Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett.

Don't get this!

Please avoid romance, standard whodunnit mysteries, and fantasy. Sci-fi is alright. I don't like when books jump between different characters and prefer a single narrative.

My favorite authors are: Roddy Doyle, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Ha Jin, Paul Auster, RJ Barker, Madeline Miller, Mark Salzman, C S Forester, and early Jonathan Lethem.
