Book tastes

"literary" fiction (not at all sure what that means!!); modern history with a twist - either suspense, or science-y; mysteries, translated fiction and nonfiction books about the process of translating (I haven't gotten to Lahiri's Italian stuff, or her book about writing in a second language and there's a Japanese woman who writes in German and writes about that as well), for a change of pace a well-written travel memoir - that's something I haven't tried, and I love to travel; I'd be interested in trying a good graphic novel, of which I have only read a few -

Don't get this!

No romance, chick-lit, sci-fi, fantasy, political, sociological, religious, no Murakami (done that), in the science-y history category not Oppenheimer or Nash or code breakers or the woman at NASA please or Galileo or da Vinci- I've done those; among graphic novels -I've already ready Persepolis and Maus and other Spigelman
