Book tastes

In the past few years I feel I've struggled to find interesting fiction to read and as a result ended up reading more non-fiction and forgettable romance novels, or working through long series--not really discovering anything new or interesting. For this reason I'd like my Santa to find me books translated into English from other languages, or historical fiction books set in countries other than England/Great Britain.

Magical realism, crime fiction, romance, romantasy, science fiction, horror, books translated from Finnish or Swedish, short stories
